VIF @ TANUVAS providing technical guidance and mentorship to Agritech company Aqgromalin, and the latter provides ‘Ready to Implement Micro farms to animal husbandry and providing technical support to aquaculture farmers
Earlier in the month of April, Agritech company Aqgromalin –a South India-based farm diversification integrator announced their partnership with TANUVAS. As per the agreement, Aqgromalin will serve as a virtual (remote) incubator into the Veterinary Incubation Foundation established at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Tanuvas is the first veterinary and animal sciences university in Asia (established in 1989).
That translates to VIF @ TANUVAS providing technical guidance and mentorship to Aggromalin, and the latter provides ‘Ready to Implement Micro farms to animal husbandry and providing technical support to aquaculture farmers in order to help them to increase their household income.
Agritech to meet global demand for animal products
Speaking to Handi Talks the founder of the Agritech company Aggromalin, Prasanna Manogaran shares the inspiration behind finding the agritech company that works to enable Farmers (especially small landholders) – to access the global Agri demand by venturing into animal products with greater global demand.
The current collaboration is another step in the direction. Recently, Aqgromalin has also launched AQAI – the first-ever B2B app exclusively for animal husbandry and aquaculture farmers.
App AQAI helps aquaculture farmers on their farms
The App is backed by IoT and Artificial Intelligence that makes the availability and accessibility of live input materials and technical instruments easy for farmers. Prasanna shares, “Our product is a tech platform for animal husbandry and aquaculture agri-ecosystem. The platform includes AQAI App, www.aqai.in and www.AQGROMALIN.com. AQAI app is available on Android and it’s one of a kind. Farmers can order their live input through the app and get it delivered at their doorstep.”
The app has disrupted the traditional practice of waiting for a middleman to source the chicks and fish seeds from hatcheries and nurseries. We provide visibility of price, quality and parent/brood stock information ensuring our farmers pay the right price for what they are receiving. The objective is to deliver high quality live inputs at the farm gate,” he adds.
Under the incubation and partnership with VIF@TANUVAS, the startup also looks for the propagation of its state-of-the-art app through their Krishi Vigyan Kendra Knowledge network.
